Shanwei City's' Smart Public Transport 'Project Launched, with a One Penny Ride for the Entire Year

The "Smart Public Transport" project of UnionPay mobile payment in Shanwei City is led by the Shanwei Central Branch of the People's Bank of China and the Financial Work Bureau of the Shanwei Municipal Government, with the participation of various banking institutions and the Shanwei branch of Guangzhou UnionPay Network, and the cooperation of Shanwei Yueyun Automobile Transport Co., Ltd. It is planned to gradually promote the comprehensive application of UnionPay mobile payment on 1050 new energy buses in Shanwei City in three phases. The first phase of the project completed the UnionPay mobile payment transformation of 350 buses, covering the main bus routes in the urban area of Shanwei City, from the urban area to the county area, and within the county area. The project relies on mobile payment products that meet the universal standards for bank card networking, and realizes UnionPay mobile flash payment, UnionPay QR code payment, and UnionPay IC card flash payment for public transportation. Next, the People's Bank of China Shanwei Central Branch will focus on promoting innovative applications of mobile payments, promoting the integrated development of the mobile industry and mobile finance, cultivating new drivers of economic growth, promoting the level of inclusive finance development, and better meeting the needs of Shanwei citizens for a better life.
